The iFixit mac specialists in New Zealand have completely disassembled the new Apple 3G iPhone in this article (scroll about half way down to see the photos). Looks like Samsung is the CPU maker for the iPhone... Why is there such a fuss about deconstructing the iPhone? Simple answer - economics. The Apple iPhone is expected to sell in high volumes, translating into sales for each component manufacturer, and in it's own way making the product a good indicator of which stocks to speculate on.
