Casio Fiva MPC-206VL Released

Casio Computers have recently introduced the Casio Cassiopeia Fiva MPC-206VL, which differs mainly from the original MPC-206 by its larger 30GB hard drive and 5 hours of battery life. Other than the blue colour around the LCD screen the two Fiva notebooks appear to be virtually identical. Each uses a TM5600 600MHz Crusoe processor. The ultra-thin notebooks measure approximately 223?197?21mm, come with an 8.4" TFT display and have a changeover switch which allows them to operate in normal WinMe mode or Linux (for FTP and MP3 playing).

The new Fiva MPC-206VL notebooks are expected to begin selling July 12. Casio expects to sell about 5000 units a month according to the press release.
