produced some of the most overclockable videocards on the market so we had some
high hopes when it came to the overclocking potential of the GeForceFX 5600P
Turbo. Clocked by default at 325 MHz core, 600 MHz memory, the Albatron card is
one of the fastest stock GeForceFX 5600's on the market already.
we began to raise
the GPU speed. First 330MHz, 340MHz, then 350MHz came and went which was pretty good considering
the Prolink GeForceFX 5600 had its core max out at 346 MHz. We continued rasing
the core speed until we hit 369 MHz. Anything higher and the core would
start to produce some artifacts. The artifacts looked like they were heat related
and I think if one were to cool the core down a bit better they could
probably go even higher. Still 369 MHz is not too shabby.
3.3ns BGA Samsung DRAM we were hoping to eclipse the 668 MHz mark set by the
Prolink GeForceFX 5600. Instead of being a good overclocker, I immediately
raised the memory speed to 668 MHz and the card did that with no problems.
Feeling lucky I jumped all the way to 700 MHz memory speed and the card still
had a lot left in it! In the end we maxed out at a lofty 718 MHz memory speed!
like the Albatron GeForceFX 5600P Turbo is like the rest of its' family, a good

3DMark2001SE is the latest installment in the 3DMark series
by MadOnion. By combining DirectX8 support with completely new graphics, it
continues to provide good overall system benchmarks. 3DMark2001SE has been
created in cooperation with the major 3D accelerator and processor manufacturers
to provide a reliable set of diagnostic tools. The suite demonstrates 3D gaming
performance by using real-world gaming technology to test a system's true
performance abilities. Tests include: DirectX8 Vertex Shaders, Pixel Shaders and
Point Sprites, DOT3 and Environment Mapped Bump Mapping, support for Full Scene
Anti-aliasing and Texture Compression and two game tests using Ipion real-time
numbers denote better performance.
surprise, both FX 5600's perform the same in 3DMark2001SE. Overclocking boosts
the score a healthy 1000 points.
accurate diagnostic tool, designed for DirectX9.0, provides you with all the
information you need to make informed hardware assessments. Havok Total
real-time physics library from Havok - these routines are used to accurately
model the movements of objects due to forces, etc. FMOD sound library from
Firelight Technologies - these are used for the various sound effects and
routines used in the tests. Graphics adapter analysis software from Powerstrip
of Entech Taiwan - this is used to correctly determine the speeds of the
graphics processing and video memory chips, plus supply additional hardware
information. Higher 3DMark03 scores denote better performance.
