The MSI K9AG Neo2 Digital motherboard supports three PCI devices, two PCI Express x1, and one PCI Express x16 expansion card. The board has one floppy and one IDE channel, four 3GB/s SATA II connections.

The bottom right hand corner of the MSI K9AG Neo2 Digital motherboard is neatly organized. There are the four 3GB/s Serial ATA II slots which support RAID 0/1/10, three USB bracket headers, a Firewire header (in green), the front panel I/O header, the parallel IDE channel and the AMD SB600 Southbridge heatsink. The clear CMOS jumper is right next to the CMOS battery (easy to access).

MSI have positioned two PCI Express x1 slots next to the x16 videocard slot so thick videocards will not interfer with PCI cards. The IDE connector is offset, so there is sufficient clearance between it and the videocard.

The main ATX power connector has 24-pins, and sits a little close to the memory DIMM slots. Depending on the heatspreaders attached to your memory, this might make for a rather tight squeeze.

There are four DDR2 memory slots on the MSI K9AG Neo2 Digital. The board supports 8GB of DDR2-800/667/533 MHz memory running in a dual channel configuration. The K9AG Neo2 Digital is compatible with ATX 1.4 and ATX 2.0 spec power supplies, minimum 350W.

There is plenty of space around the CPU socket for larger socket AM2 heatsinks. Like all modern motherboards, the MSI K9AG Neo2 Digital is compatible with PWM CPU fans.
