There were something like 370 different
variations of the Intel P45 motherboard introduced at Computex 2008 this
year when Intel unveiled its 4-series chipset family. That's a lot of
motherboard to choose from - pick the ECS P45T-A to save time and money.

The ECS P45T-A motherboard has two PCI Express x16 slots. One graphics card
gets x16, while two videocards in Crossfire split that into x8/x8. Further expansion includes two PCI
Express x1 slots, two 32 bit PCI slots, an IDE and
FDD. Headers are located along the bottom of motherboard so they're out
of the way, but no brackets are
supplied.

Physical power/reset buttons, six SATA 2.0, one IDE, and three
USB2.0 headers. The Intel ICH10R is cooled by a small passive
heatsink.

The ECS P45T-A has four DDR2 memory slots, these accommodate 2GB memory modules
for a max of 8GB RAM. Install pairs of memory in same the coloured
slots for dual channel operation. A 24-pin main ATX power and 4-pin Auxiliary
power cable supply power to the board.

Plenty of space around the Intel LGA775 Socket
on the ECS P45T-A board. The passive aluminum Intel P45 Express chipset doesn't
get very warm during operation. Power MOSFETs are not
heatsinked.
