360-Degree Motherboard Gallery: ASUS P8P67 Pro

In this corner of the ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard we find the expansion slots which will support up to two videocards in x16 mode or x8/x8 mode. Remaining expansion slots include two PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, one PCI Express x1-x4 and two PCI slots.

Along the bottom edge of the board are headers for audio, IEEE1394, ASUS TPU, three USB 2.0 headers and front panel jumpers. The Intel P67 chipset only requires a small passive aluminum heatsink.

Spacing between the videocard PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots is good. Since only the first, third and fourth slots are utilized, dual-slot videocards will fit in without issue and still have enough room for cooling.

SATA ports...

Adjacent to the front panel IO jumpers are four 6Gb/s SATA III ports and four 3Gb/s SATA II jacks. Two additional eSATA ports are located at the rear I/O. The Intel P67 supports RAID 0/1/5/10 across any of these ports via Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

Next to the SATA ports is a USB 3.0 header which connects to the supplied USB 3.0 bracket to provide two additional USB 3.0 ports at the rear of the case. Alternatively, newer PC chassis may have a couple USB 3.0 front panel ports which could conveniently plug in here.

Native Intel and Marvell SATA ports.

Memory is coming up after the jump....
