GURNEE, Ill. - Dec. 10, 2001 - Fueled by the successful debut of three new
additions to its Xtasy(tm) graphics accelerator line, VisionTek, a leading
provider of advanced graphics and memory solutions for PCs, today announced
that it is the nation's leading graphics accelerator maker in retail sales
growth - and is lengthening its list of coveted industry awards. On the
heels of introducing three new video cards based on Titanium(tm) graphics
processors from NVIDIA® Corporation, VisionTek secured 34 percent of all
U.S. retail sales of graphics accelerators in October, according to the
latest report from NPD INTELECT Market Tracking®.
The latest figures signal consistently growing market share for VisionTek as
it enters the 2001 holiday buying season. According to NPD INTELECT's
monthly retail sales reports, VisionTek's market share has increased 41.6
percent since August. Meanwhile, VisionTek's new Xtasy 6964, Xtasy 6564,
and Xtasy 5864 were the first cards based on the NVIDIA Titanium processor
to reach consumers when they shipped in early October.
