More points of interest with the CT1904
The stand is fixed on the display and allows the unit to tilt forward 3 degrees, and back about 40 degrees to
accommodate different user preferred viewing angles. There is no vertical height adjustment, nor is
any really necessary. The stand is nice and simple, but the monitor wobbles a
bit at the joint when the tilt angle is adjusted.
Unlike a lot of the other LCD displays we test out, the Cornea comes rigged with
an on board power supply which means no power brick has to sit on the floor and clutter things up. However, since
there are also 100mm VESA mounting points on the rear of the monitor, this
also means that one more large cable will need to be routed to the display
if it is wall mounted, or fixed to an adjustable armature.
The
rear of the Cornea is nice and clean, as is the entire look of the display.
Three is little to distract the eye of the user from what is on
the display screen.
From the
side you get a sense of the profile this monitor has; because of the onboard
power supply it also measures about 3" thick. The stand is good and stable too,
but when wall mounted must be removed. There are four screws holding it in place
on the bottom. To remove the stand for wall mounting it is a good idea to put
the display flat on a table and remove all the screws. Then, firmly pull the base
off while holding the rest of the monitor stable. The stand is held in place snugly, so it make take
a little effort to loosen it the first time you want to wall mount the Cornea
CT1904.
