* - hyperthreading was enabled during the intel tests.
SysMark2002 is more of an extension of SysMark2001
rather then a whole new benchmark. The applications used during
testing have been updated and most importantly for AMD users, the new
SysMark2002 uses the Windows Media Encoder 7.1 which supports the AthlonXP's SSE
instructions.
The
Internet portion of SysMark2002 doesn't take advantage of the Athlon64's SSE2
instruction set that's why it does relatively poorly in that part of the
benchmark. The MSI K8T Neo and the Albatron K8X800 Pro II perform on par with
each
other.

Content Creation Winstone 2002 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's
overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation
applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.
Business Winstone 2002 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when
running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98,
Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business
Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through
a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to
complete those activities to produce its performance scores.
The
Winstone 2002
benchmarks seem to like the Athlon64 3200+/K8T800 combo quite a bit! It's
no surprise, but the Albatron K8X800 Pro II is again about the same speed as the
MSI board.
