Business
Winstone 2002 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a
PC's overall performance when running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit
applications on Windows 98, Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows
XP. Business Winstone doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real
applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC
takes to complete those activities to produce its performance scores.
In the
Winstone 2002 benchmarks we see that the Gigabyte GA-7VT600-RZ based AthlonXP
system actually performs faster than a Pentium 4 3.0C equipped with ATi's Radeon
9100 IGP chipset. Performance is on par with the other KT600 mobo, and a bit
slower than the NF2 based DFI LANParty NF2 Ultra B.

WinBench
99 is a subsystem-level benchmark that measures the performance of a PC 's
graphics , disk, and video subsystems in a Windows environment. WinBench 99's
tests can run on Windows 95, Windows 98 , Windows NT, Windows 2000 , and Windows
Me systems.
In
Winbench 99 we see that HDD performance of all motherboards is very good at
stock speeds. When overclocked the Gigabyte GA-7VT600-RZ performs slightly
slower but that's to be expected. In the Graphics portion of Winbench the
Gigabyte GA-7VT600-RZ again performs very well.
