AquaMark3
is a powerful tool to determine reliable information about the gaming
performance of a computer system. Because the benchmark extensively utilizes
DirectX9, DirectX8 and DirectX7 functionality, it represents the requirements of
typical gaming applications in 2003 and 2004.
With
AquaMark3, the Gigabyte GV-RX60X128V is quicker than the other PCI-E card from
MSI. It is still no match for the high end AGP cards though.
Gun Metal
2 is one of the first games that will be taking advantage of DirectX 9
technology. According to Gun Metal 2, 2x AA is enabled by default on all videocards and the listed frame
rates are average.
At
1024x768 the GV-RX60X128V does well for itself considering it's a mainstream
videocard. Overclocking boosts frame rates nicely... if you play Gun Metal with
this card you'll probably want to overclock it. ;-)
A
resolution of 1600x1200 is too much for the GV-RX60X128V, and it struggles to
kick out 14FPS.
