Overclocking Results:

Epox is one of the pioneers of extreme overclocking; introducing overclockers to higher voltage options. Speaking from past experiences, when it comes to overclocking Epox motherboards have typically been good to us.

Before the overclocking process began, the Athlon64 3200+ multiplier was first lowered to 4x, and memory frequency set to run in 133 MHz mode. This affects overall performance, but we're testing the limits of the motherboard.

Starting from 200 MHz, we began overclocking by increasing the motherboard clock speed in 10 MHz intervals. At 230 MHz the Epox 8NPA SLI motherboard failed to boot into WindowsXP... and to resolve this, an increase of chipset voltage from 1.5 to 1.7V was necessary.

Continuing upwards, the 8NPA SLI motherboard finally settled on and overclocked speed of 255 MHz. We tried a few higher speeds, but stability wasn't guaranteed and the system would not boot into Windows. Still, 255MHz Pretty good considering the market the Epox 8NPA SLI motherboard is targeting!
