One thing users have to remember is that the GeForce 6100 series motherboards are designed for the entry level market. If you're looking for an overclocking monster, spend a bit more and go with an nForce4 powered board.

The Asus A8N-VM CSM motherboard does not offer voltage or multiplier options, and with that in mind, the motherboard clock speed was increased in 5 MHz intervals only. Overclocking ended very abruptly at 213 MHz. Anything higher and the motherboard either had problems booting or would not POST.

Hopefully Asus will enable some voltage and multiplier options in future BIOS revisions. In any case considering the intended market for this product, the lack of overclocking features will definitely not hold the Asus A8N-VM CSM motherboard back.

The BIOS has all the normal memory timing adjustments we're used to in an AMD platform. Unless you're an advanced user, leave the TRC, TRFC and TRWT values alone because like the CAS latency timings, they depend greatly on the memory that is installed.

Not the most exciting options, but Asus has other overclocker friendly motherboards available. Motherboard clock speed can be adjusted between 200-240 MHz in 1 MHz increments.
