It should not be a surprise that when the SyncMAX PC2-5300 Express is
clocked at DDR2-667, memory bandwidth is lower. When overclocked, memory is
in line with DDR2-800 memory modules. Nice.
PCMark05 is a premium tool for measuring both
normal home use and simple 3D performance of the latest PC hardware. There are
11 system tests - each one is designed to represent a certain type of PC usage.
By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses the components in a similar manner as
they are stressed in normal home usage.

PCMark05 numbers are very close at stock settings, the slower memory does
not handicap the system at all in the overall test. The memory numbers are lower
when the memory is running at DDR2-667 mode, but it's not that bad.
3DMark05 is best suited for the latest generation
of DirectX9.0 graphics cards. It is the first benchmark to require a DirectX9.0
compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shaders 2.0 or higher! By combining
high quality 3D tests, CPU tests, feature tests, image quality tools, and much
more, 3DMark05 is a premium benchmark for evaluating the latest generation of
gaming hardware.

At stock settings, the SyncMAX PC2-5300 does not handicap the system
much in the overall section. The CPU score is noticably lower. Overclocking
the memory puts things back into perspective and allows the SyncMAX PC2-5300 Express to outperform
the other more expensive memory modules.
