Real-time
editing, bump mapping, static lights, network system, integrated physics system,
shaders, shadows, and a dynamic music system are just some of the state
of-the-art features that the CryENGINE offers. The game was set to Ultra quality
and the Ubisoft's Regulator demo was run.

We were pretty shocked to see FarCry framerates in the
range of 330 fps! I reran the test a few times just to confirm... The Intel Core
2 Duo E6600 is easily the best gaming processor on the market right now, and it
overclocks very well too!

FEAR is
Sierra's latest first person shooter which relies heavily on DirectX 9 features.
With its "Soft Shadows" feature enabled, even the fastest videocards run at a
crawl, FEAR is definitely the new benchmark for future FPS games to
follow.

At lower resolutions FEAR is processor limited. The
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 runs away from the crowd at lower resolutions, though
things are different at higher resolutions when the game is videocard limited.
That is why the stock and overclocked E6600 framerates are both basically the
same.
