LG's GSA-H62N Serial ATA optical drive comes in black and beige, and supports all three DVD standards (DVD-/+R and
DVD-RAM). Dual layer media is handy if you like to burn videos onto DVD, or want to back up a collection of family digital photos.

Benchmarks: Nero CD Speed DVD+RW, DVD+R DL
Nero's CD Speed burn tests a DVD+RW rated to
2.4-4x. The disc is burned with files of about 4.7GB in size. This test is done
by simply placing the blank recording media into the burner and running CD
Speed. The software will detect the type of DVD media and run the appropriate
test.

Even now high speed DVD+RW media is still difficult
to find. The LG has no problems writing DVD+RWs at 4x speed.
Nero's CD Speed burn tests a DVD+R DL rated at
2.4x. The program emulates a burn that would fill the disc with 8.5GB of data.
This test is done by simply placing blank recording media into the burner and
running CD Speed the software.

Even though the DVD+R DL test disc is limited to 2.4x, that doesn't stop
the LG GSA-H62N DVD writer from operating faster. In fact the LG drive smashes
even its own 10x speed limit and hits a top speed of 12.35x which is nice and
quick!
