While Call
of Juarez pulls off all the classic FPS mechanisms with aplomb, it also features
interesting variations that give it the air and feel of a true Western movie.
The player has the genuine impression of being a pistol-packing hero in an age
when armed confrontation was the daily grind for many adventurers. The
Developers have incorporated a classic shooting system as well as two extra game
modes.

In the DirectX10 Call of Juarez benchmark, the Diamond
Viper Radeon HD 2900XT 1GB videocard handles itself well, and easily keeps up
with the GeForce 8800GTX. Overclocking boosts framerates nicely, and this game
definitely can take advantage of AMD's CrossFire technology! 1600x1200 with
everything enabled is almost playable when the two Diamond Viper Radeon HD
2900XT videocards are overclocked under Crossfire.
This
fast-paced third person shooter takes you across the vast and frozen landscape
of E.D.N III. The ability to fight stealthily on-foot or from within heavily
armored Vital Suits offer two unique modes of gameplay. While on foot, use the
zip line to get to strategic enemy annilhilating vantage points and discover
unexplored areas and weapons. Or, jump into our vital suit or hijack an enemy
Snow Pirate's VS to go head to head with enormous and more powerful Acrid
foes.

CrossFire technology is still in its infancy compared to
nVIDIA's SLI, that's why AMD is still having problems getting it implemented.
With the special patch that's available on AMD's website, it properly enables
CrossFire support and the framerates go up instead of down. With a pair of
Diamond Viper Radeon HD 2900XT videocards running in Crossfire, and overclocked,
we get a whopping 23FPS in Lost Plant at 1600x1200HQ! Wow.
