The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply supports over
voltage, over power and short circuit protection in order to protect you, the
power supply and the PC system from damage. The Silencer 750 Quad is designed to
operate in temperatures between 0-50 degrees Celsius and in relative humidity
between 20-80%.
Removing the top cover is as
easy as undoing four screws. There's no warranty sticker anywhere on the
Silencer 750 Quad, but taking the top off voids your warranty. The fuse
is not user replaceable and there are no potentiometers; that feature is reserved for the
Turbo-Cool class, along with putting the power socket in a metal RF shielding can.
The 80mm fan is an ADDA AD0812UB-A71GL, it's
detachable and can be replaced if its bearings eventually seize up.
The PC Power &
Cooling Silencer 750 Quad claims that the power supply is 83% efficient. That's
a pretty lofty claim, let's check out whether it can live up to the hype as
PCSTATS tests the power capabilities
next.
