With performance in mind, we're going to compare
the maximum overclocked results of the various DDR2/3 memory modules PCSTATS has
tested in the past which are listed below. Remember, just because memory is clocked fast
doesn't mean it's the best thing for a computer. Timings are also important, and
getting the right ratio of both is the real key to performance based
overclocking!

The
A-DATA Vitesta Extreme Edition memory
performs pretty well in the overclocking tests. It sits near the
middle of the pack when it comes to low latency testing with a speed of 1100MHz, and
near the top when the timings are relaxed
(1250MHz).
DDR2 memory for everyone!
Memory prices have plummeted the last year and a half, so if
you've been waiting for "the right time", it's now. A-DATA's Vitesta Extreme Edition
DD2-800 and its 4-4-4-12 timings can be had for an amazing $60 CDN ($63 USD, £30 GBP) !
The A-DATA Vitesta Extreme Edition DD2-800 memory modules are rated to run at 800 MHz but we had a suspicion these red memory modules could do more... and boy were we right! At stock speeds the Vitesta Extreme Edition DD2-800 performed like every other DDR2-800 memory with 4-4-4-12 timings. Even with those settings, the A-DATA memory didn't trail the Corsair DOMINATOR Twin2X2048-8888C4DF memory by much.
When it came to overclocking A-DATA did not disappoint. Its Vitesta Extreme Edition DD2-800 memory hit 1100 MHz with 4-4-4-12 timings, and 1250 MHz with lax timings. Both speeds are very fast and it's great to see that A-DATA has no problems keeping up with the likes of Corsair, PNY, OCZ, and Super Talent. Overlocking just the memory does little to improve overall performance, but then again no one will heavily overclock just the memory.
Considering the price of the A-DATA Vitesta Extreme Edition DD2-800 memory and its performance, it doesn't take a genius to see that A-DATA has a real winner on its hands. Looking for more DDR2 memory? Grab yourself a set of Vitesta Extreme Edition DD2-800 and make you and your computer happy.
