GlacialTech offers a refreshing change in the computer enclosure industry and we're happy to see that it doesn't follow the "ugly" case movement. Its Altair A380 would not draw any attention when surrounded by other home entertainment devices, and that's exactly how it ought to be.
The aluminum
Altair A380 case from GlacialTech is compatible with all regular ATX
motherboards on the market but make sure it's not too powerful because the
GlacialTech case only comes with an Enhance 270W power supply.
With HTPC type tasks in mind, you'll find a 52 in 1 card reader along with
two USB ports and headphone/microphone jacks at the front of the case.
Even if you're not an experienced computer user
the GlacialTech Altair A380 case is very easy to work with. As with everything in
life, nothing is perfect and there are a few things GlacialTech could have done
better but all in all it's a very good first attempt.
GlacialTech even includes an infrared remote and remote
IrDA sensor with the case which is very handy if you want to control your computer without the use of a mouse or keyboard. Definitely improves on the HTPC experience and other manufacturers should take note! If you're going to be building an HTPC in the near future and want it to look good, GlacialTech should definitely be considered especially its Altair A380 case.
