While Call
of Juarez pulls off all the classic FPS mechanisms with aplomb, it also features
interesting variations that give it the air and feel of a true Western movie.
The player has the genuine impression of being a pistol-packing hero in an age
when armed confrontation was the daily grind for many adventurers. The
Developers have incorporated a classic shooting system as well as two extra game
modes.

The DX10 game Call of Juarez isn't playable on
any of the integrated graphics, and the Intel G45 Express chipset fairs
particularly slow against the HD3300-based AMD 790GX which is equipped with
onboard memory. It's not a fair fight by any means. Intel points this
out about AMD's 790GX at every opportunity.
Crysis is a
science fiction first-person shooter developed by Crytek. Crysis uses
Microsoft's new API, DirectX 10 for graphics rendering, and includes the new
engine—the CryEngine 2—that is the successor to Far Cry's CryEngine. CryEngine 2
is among the first engines to use the DirectX 10 framework of Windows Vista, but
can also run using DirectX 9, both on Vista and Windows XP.

Crysis also
remains unplayable on the Asus P5Q-EM's integrated X4500HD graphics. There is a
huge performance decrease at 1024 X 768 resolution when the P5Q-EM is compared
to the Intel DG45ID motherboard, which is based on the same chipset. Most likely
this is due to driver issues, rather than a lack of speed.
