The Gigabyte GA-X79S-UP5 Wifi motherboard built on the Intel X79 Chipset for socket LGA2011 processors was also on display at Computex 2012. This workstation class platform supports 8 SAS devices and Ultra Durable 5 technology incorporating the new IR3550 PowIRstage single package design motherboard VRM. This IC replaces older discreet MOSFET circuit architectures and lowers board temperatures significantly.
