Although my goal was to have 1Ghz, 966Mhz
is still considered to be a successful overclock (138Mhz FSB.) I am
extremely happy with the ease of overclocking with this motherboard. The
level of stability is equally impressive, as I've been running at 966Mhz (with 138
+ 33Mhz memory) for a few days now.
Conclusion:
I can highly recommend this motherboard to
anyone looking for a fast, tweakable, and reliable motherboard for their
computing (and overclocking needs.) While there are some obvious gripes with
this motherboard, such as the inclusion of the AMR slot, and having only one
3-pin fan connector for CPU fans. Additionally having a mere three DIMM sockets, onboard sound, and archaic
jumpers for Vcore adjustments would annoy many of you out there.
Despite these "many" gripes, I still find
them to be relatively minor on the whole, and more of a set of imperfections than design
flaws. After all, this motherboard is fast, stable, and tweakable.
The price is reasonable, and the included software is appropriate and
useful.
Regarding all of the virtues and features
of this motherboard, I have no reason to swap this motherboard for another one
anytime soon. And that is a very brave statement coming from a hardware
junkie like me.
