I was somewhat disappointed that there was not a world of difference between CAS-2 and
CAS-3, however, it is clearly better than the CAS-3 stuff. The price difference between
cheap, no name PC-133 modules, and these Infineon's is only
$8 CDN ($5.40 USD) so if you are going to be getting a
new computer anytime soon, I would highly recommend going with the Infineon PC-133
modules.
I wouldn't recommend doing something
drastic like, selling your current PC-133 RAM (at a huge loss), and going out
and purchasing these Infineon's or any other brand of CAS-2 memory.
Ultimately, if you can not get the really expensive RAM, then try to seek out
these Infineon's at your local retailer, I mean come on, if we can get these in
TORONTO, then I'm sure that they are not too difficult to locate. And for
an $8 premium, I would highly recommend spending a bit more on some quality
PC-133 RAM, like these Infineon's.
Btw, props goes out to
anyone that can recognize that warranty sticker on the RAM pictured up top, then
you'd know where I have to work :(
