ABIT is a very well known company among overclockers. And why shouldn't they? The were the first ones to come out with cool stuff like jumperless motherboards...
The benchmarks below were run a minimum of three times, and the best 3 scores were averaged. I used SiSoft Sandra 99 Professional, which in my opinion is a very good benchmark program, besides, its a break from the usual Winstone 99 benchmarks.
Test System Configuration
Processor: Intel Celeron 300A @ 504Mhz Memory: 64 Megs PC-100 SDRAM Hard Disk Drive: IBM Deskstar 14GXP 10.1 Gig Video Card: 3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 AGP Operating System: Windows 98
Conclusion
This is a no brainer. If you are in the market for a new BX motherboard, this is definitely one you should seriously consider. This motherboard is essentially a BX6 2.0 minus a DIMM slot. But with the addition of ATA-66 support, the BE6 comes out ahead and spanks the BX6 2.0. Unless you have a legitimate need for four DIMM slots, you shouldn't even consider the BX6 2.0. The BE6 is the one. ABIT has again pulled it off with yet another high quality product. Congrats and keep up the good work.
