AquaMark3 is a powerful tool to determine
reliable information about the gaming performance of a computer system. Because
the benchmark extensively utilizes DirectX9, DirectX8 and DirectX7
functionality, it represents the requirements of typical gaming applications in
2003 and 2004.

AquaMark3 states the same things 3DMark2001 says and
that's with slower timings the Epox 8HDA3+ will come in last.
Quake III Arena is a First Person Shooter (FPS)
that revolutionized gaming as we know it. Using multiple light sources and
having graphics textures that can fill videocards, even after 3 years it's still
able to bring a cutting edge system to its knees.

As with
all the other 3D benchmarks the Epox 8HDA3+ does very well, but comes in
slightly behind that of the other
reference boards which were able to run the memory at tighter memory timings. Hopefully with
a new BIOS revision Epox will allow the end user to adjust the memory timings. As
you can see it's very important to overall performance.
