Following in the footsteps of the 180T
and 150T, the 170T uses the same outer casing design, which we
have really grown accustomed to here. |
There has only been one TFT
display that really had a high degree of back angle, and that was the value
priced AOC LM-500 display. The Syncmaster 170T rotates about 15 degrees down, and
about the same back. Thus the total range in movement is realistically between
30-40 degrees. A built in swivel base makes turning the display from side to
side effortless and prevents the base from scratching soft surfaces.
As you can imagine, since this
display is capable of wall mounting it uses a removeable base. Thus the
power pack is the kind that sits on the flow while a 6 foot lead wire brings DC
power to the display itself.
The small hole in the base is designed so that
the wires from the panel can be neatly threaded through and out to the computer
of power pack. The 17
0T as a
whole looks really professional and has a very stable and firm feel to it. For
example, if you tilt the display back, you don't find gravity doing its work and
righting the display since the joint is nicely tensioned.
