This benchmark is
more of a CPU tester then anything else, and since the testing was done with the
CPU around 1.4 GHz, it's not surprising to see that the results are very
close.

Again, like
Business Winstone 2001, Content Creation is more CPU intensive then anything
else, and since the CPU speed is about the same, the scores are very close.
Let's take a look at some gaming benchmarks starting with the venerable
3DMark2000 Ver 1.1.
3DMark 2000 |
Setting: |
Score: |
133 MHz |
10195 3DMarks |
164 MHz |
10713 3DMarks |
Looks like
3DMark2000 is saying the same thing. Of course, 2000 could never really take
advantage of the extra bandwidth given by higher FSB's - 3DMark2001 can though
so let's see what it has to tell us about the MSI K7T266Pro2.
3DMark 2001 |

Score: |
133 MHz |
6874 3DMarks |
164 MHz |
7381 3DMarks |
3DMark2001 has
always been known to love high bus speeds and there's almost a 500 point
difference between the scores. That is A LOT for just upping the bus speed. Last
but not least, another bus speed freak, Quake III Arena.
