* - hyperthreading was enabled and running for all
the tests.
SysMark2002 is more of an extension of SysMark2001
rather then a whole new benchmark. The applications used during
testing have been updated and most importantly for AMD users, the
new SysMark2002 uses the Windows Media Encoder 7.1 which supports the AthlonXP's
SSE instructions.
In SysMark2002 we see that the Epox 4PDA2+ performs just
slightly faster than the other i865PE based motherboards yet it's slower than
the i875P ones. I guess PAT is disabled on the 4PDA2+.

Content Creation Winstone 2002 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when
running top, Windows-based, 32-bit, content creation applications on Windows 98,
Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.
Business Winstone 2002 is a system-level,
application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall performance when
running today's top-selling Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98,
Windows 2000 (SP6 or later), Windows Me, or Windows XP. Business Winstone
doesn't mimic what these packages do; it runs real applications through a series
of scripted activities and uses the time a PC takes to complete those activities
to produce its performance scores.
In the
Winstone 2002
benchmarks we see that the i865PE and i875P based motherboards perform approximately
the same. There's little performance boost when the system is running
at 235MHz/376MHz.
