We were able to push
overclock our Pentium 4 2 GHz (Williamette) to 2.2 GHz which equals a FSB of 110
MHz. That's quite a feat considering that other boards we've tested with this CPU on
could only handle around 2.17 GHz. The other motherboards we used were pretty good ones
at that.... from the MSI 845 Ultra to the Shuttle AV45GTR for example.

SYSmark2001 uses real world applications
concurrently as an accurate way to test the system by following patterns that
reflect the way real users work. SYSmark2001's workloads accurately represent
today's updated business usage model. The benchmark runs at a realistic
execution speed, with think times between application interactions, in order to
emulate a desktop user's interaction with the operating system and
applications.
Higher numbers denote better
performance.

The ACorp does very well with the Bapco
benchmarks. It's performance is on par with other i845D based motherboards,
which is good to see coming from a value market solution.
Overclocking a little boosts performance as you
might expect with the Internet content creation results increasing about 10%
and the office productivity results going up an astonishing 20%!

Content Creation Winstone
2001 keeps multiple applications open at once and switches among those
applications. Content Creation Winstone 2001's activities focus on what we call
"hot spots," periods of activity that make your PC really work--the times where
you're likely to see an hourglass or a progress bar.
Business Winstone is a
system-level, application-based benchmark that measures a PC's overall
performance when running today's Windows-based 32-bit applications on Windows 98
ME, Windows NT 4.0 (SP6 or later), Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP which
runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time
a PC takes to complete those activities to produce its performance
scores.
The 4D845A does as well as other P4 DDR
boards here. Unfortunately when dealing with office based applications the computer
would be user limited.
WinBench 99 is a
subsystem-level benchmark that measures the performance of a PC's graphics,
disk, and video subsystems in a Windows environment. WinBench 99's tests can run
on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows Me
systems.

Hmm... The problem we had with low Winbench 99
disk scores also happens here with the ACorp 4D845A. It's rather odd since
the 801 ICH2 has been around for a while and it is proven.

numbers taken though are again, purely theoretical and may not represent real

The 4D845A coupled with our test P4 2 GHz has numbers that are almost identical to the
reference CPU's Sandra compares against. The memory scores are lower then RDRAM, however,
but they're pretty good for DDR.
