In the screen shot above you can set the
memory frequency to either 1:1 which runs the ram at 100
MHz fsb, 3:4 which runs the ram at 133 MHz or 3:5 which
has the ram running at 166 MHz.
The CPU FSB can be adjusted 1 MHz at a time
from 100-200 MHz and there are a whole bunch of voltages that can be chosen. CPU
voltages range from 1.75-1.85V, DDR voltages go from 2.5-3.2V and AGP can be
adjusted from 1.5-1.8V. The two that stand out are the memory and AGP.
It's obvious that Epox is trying to catch those Pentium 4
overclockers and since the Northwood P4's don't have a hard time hitting those
high FSB, memory voltage helps stabilize things.
As for AGP
voltage, again it's for stability purposes. Increasing the AGP voltage to
1.8V also allowed us to overclock our GeForce3 Ti500 10 MHz higher (then
we ever could before) on the core!
We were pretty sure the maximum our
Pentium 4 2 GHz (Williamette) would clock was around 2.2 GHz, however we were
very
pleasantly surprised by
how high we could get it on the EP-4DSA+!
We were able to run the CPU at 2.3 GHz
with no stability problems whatsoever, and
with just air cooling and a vCore 1.85V. It's amazing that this board allowed us to
overclock 50% higher then the others! Great job Epox!
SYSmark2001 uses real world applications
concurrently as an accurate way to test the system by following patterns that
reflect the way real users work. SYSmark2001's workloads accurately represent
today's updated business usage model. The benchmark runs at a realistic
execution speed, with think times between application interactions, in order to
emulate a desktop user's interaction with the operating system and
applications.
Higher numbers denote better
performance.

The
performance of the EP-4SDA+ is on par with the other Pentium 4 DDR boards which is
pretty good. Overclocking seems to boost performance quite a bit, it's probably due to the 300
MHz CPU gain.
