Quake III Arena is a First Person Shooter (FPS) that revolutionized gaming as we know it. Using multiple light sources and having graphics textures that can fill videocards, even after 3 years it's still able to bring a cutting edge system to its knees.

The separation with the demo001 demo is much more apparent between the older and newer cards. With the GeForce3 Ti500 and Radeon 8500's we're still CPU limited.

Like RTCW, at 1600x1200 the cards are finally starting to be taxed. It's obvious because with the demo001 overclocking the Radeon 8500 brings a 21 fps increase! That's almost 20%!
