The original 3DMark Tweak guide showed us just how
many things can be tweaked for better system performance,
and in this case the same was done to increase the 3DMark2001Se score.
We get
our biggest score increases by overclocking and adjusting memory timings. 2000 points
from overclocking the videocard from 250/550 to 311/714. 1000 points from overclocking the
processor.
Using aggressive memory timings got us
another 400 points, and using the 3/4 memory divider at 133 MHz FSB means
another 500 points.
Tweaking the OS and adjusting the LOD only resulted in another 150 points, but
as I mentioned earlier, 150 points can separate an average score with a good
one. Be sure to read my tips for the Fastest Webmasters
here and you can directly compare your score to my best
uploaded score here. If there are tweaks that I forgot or
didn't apply, I would greatly appreciate it if you e-mail them to me. =)
