To access the Advanced Chipset Features menu,
you need to press CTRL + F1 when you're in the main menu.
There are the usual tweaks we've come to expect from
motherboards from CAS Latency and RAS to CAS. You can change the onboard Radeon 9200's memory size
from 8MB to 128MB but please keep in mind that this takes memory
away from the system. The GA-8TRS300M does not have any voltage controls, not that it's
surprising. This board was not intended for overclocking.
There was a Top Performance feature within the BIOS which was
disabled by default. We could not enable this feature, no matter what we did it
would always produce a blue screen while loading windows...
With no voltage options we didn't have much
hope in terms of overclocking this little motherboard, it's not that big a deal
though. Slowly starting at 200 MHz FSB I started to raise the clock speed
slowly, but all the GA-8TRS300M could handle was 206 MHz FSB. Now, on with the
benchmarks!
