The CD Winbench99 benchmark runs a series of
scripted programs from a special CD in the drive and measures the time and data
transfer capabilities as a result. Higher numbers mean better performance.
Seems like
things doesn't start off too well for th LG GSA-4120B DVD
writer, mind you DVD drives never attain high marks in this test. Let's see what
the other benchmarks say first before we make any
judgements.

Here in
SiSoft Sandra the LG GSA-4120B dual layer DVD burner scores near
the middle of the pack, although access time is quite high.
