Designed for DirectX9.0, provides you with all the
information you need to make informed hardware assessments. Havok Total
real-time physics library from Havok - these routines are used to accurately
model the movements of objects due to forces, etc. FMOD sound library from
Firelight Technologies - these are used for the various sound effects and
routines used in the tests. Graphics adapter analysis software from Powerstrip
of Entech Taiwan - this is used to correctly determine the speeds of the
graphics processing and video memory chips, plus supply additional hardware
information. Higher 3DMark03 scores denote better performance.

Considering its $130CDN price point, the PowerColor X800 GTO videocard does
very well for itself and can compete easily with GeForce 6600GT-class videocards! Overclocking boosts its
score slightly. allowing the Radeon X800 GTO videocard to break the
10k barrier in 3DMark03.
3DMark05 is the latest version of the highly
favoured 3DMark graphics benchmarking series. It is the first benchmark to
require DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 or
higher!

The PowerColor X800 GTO does well in 3DMark05 for its
class. It outperforms the Radeon X700 Pro and GeForce 6600GT again. The
mainstream Radeon X800 GTO core is obviously no match
for high end videocards, but it is much more affordable.
