Business Winstone 2004 runs real
applications through a series of scripted activities and uses the time a PC
takes to complete these activities to produce its performance
scores.
Content
Creation Winstone 2004 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that
measures a PC's overall performance when running top, Windows-based, 32-bit,
content creation applications in Windows XP.

The office productivity numbers in Business
Winstone and Content Creation are very good, the ECS 945G-M3 motherboard performs
as well as the rest. The ECS 945G-M3 is the perfect little workstation
motherboard judging by these two benchmarks.

Overall the numbers from the ECS 945G-M3 are
very good, memory bandwidth is a bit lower than expected on the FPU side of
things, which is odd. The test was rerun a few times with the same results.
SuperPI
calculates the number PI to 1 Million digits in this raw number crunching
benchmark. The program allows the user to change the number of digits of PI that
can be calculated from 16 thousand to 32 million. Our benchmark is set to 1
Million digits and 19 iterations.

The lower memory bandwidth does not affect Super Pi
results at all. The ECS and Pentium D 840 combo completes Super Pi in 41
seconds; on par for an Intel motherboard.
