Motherboard Highlights
The 604-pin processor sockets of the
Tyan S2726UG5N are shown here, positioned side by side on the busy motherboard surface. Single
or dual Intel Xeon processors can be installed, running on a 400MHz or 533MHz
front side bus. An EPS12V compatible powersupply is
required.
|
The Tyan S2726UG5N
is equipped with a integrated Adaptec AIC-7902 SCSI card that supports dual channel Ultra
320MB/s connections. There are two LVD SCSI connectors on the motherboard, each supports 15
devices. The Adaptec AIC-7902 is connected via the PCI-X
bus.
|
The Tyan S2726UG5N includes two 64-bit
133MHz PCI-X/PCI slots (green & white) and one 32-bit PCI slot. The onboard ATI RageXL
graphics chipset is shown here with its 8MB onboard memory. A standard analog video
jack means video comes standard with this server
motherboard.

The Intel
E7501 MCH chipset shown next to the 24-pin EPS12V power connector. The Tyan S2726UG5N motherboard
has six DDR memory slots, and they support up to 12GB of PC2100 ECC
Registered DDR memory. Memory must be the ECC Registered
type.
|
The Tyan S2726UG5N features no less than four
10/1000 Intel 82546-based Gigabit Ethernet network jacks. The Ethernet jacks operate on the PCI-X
133MHz bus. There is also an additional 10/100 management jack based on the Intel
82551 controller, for a total of 5 LAN
ports.
|
