For an aluminum case the Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 is rather heavy, with a net weight of 8.5kg. The front bezel adds a lot of weight because it's made of 3.5mm aluminum. At the bottom of the case are four plastic feet which can be extended outwards for better case stability. In the hidden position the Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 has very good balance, and would not tip over due to an accidental bump.

Should you require a bit of security, the Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 is lockable with the power/reset buttons hidden. The power button shines a bright blue when it's on, the reset button is flush with the front bezel so you don't hit that switch by accident.

Both the front bezel door and side panel can be secured with an integrated lock. Only one key is needed to unlock both the front and side locks, yet the case comes with four keys. Having too many keys is better than not having enough I suppose. Computer locks have never been especially "precise" and I would be surprised if a well place paper clip could do the same job. To get into the case, all you need to do is twist the thumbscrews that permanently hold the side panels on, and release the hand latch (it's even lockable).

The left side panel has the 3D Aurora name engraved into the plastic. There's a lever which must be used to access the internals of your system. If you don't want anyone to much around inside, simply lock the case and you're set.

Should you not want to use the side grill panel, Gigabyte includes a clear plastic window which can be installed in a breeze. Undo ten screws and the grill slides right off, put the plastic window on, screw it back together and you're set!
