The face of the Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 case is
clean and simple; just a slightly curved brushed aluminum finish, a slight
bit detailing at the corners and a logo. Nice. The hefty aluminum front
bezel door opens to the right (most cases open to the left) which is a nice change. There are five 5.25" ODD bays, and two 3.5" FDD bays at your disposal, finding silver coloured CDROM fronts is going to be another challenge entirely though. The belly of the case extends further than the top portion, but we'll get into why a bit later.
The
front bezel is removable if you need to get at the dust filter in front of
the 120mm intake fan. You'll need to remove both side panels to get
it off, and be careful as there are a few sharp
edges.

There
is a lock at the bottom left which allows you to restrict access to the power and reset buttons, and any drives behind the front bezel door. A handy set of front pane connectors remain accessible with the door open or closed. There is one IEEE 1394a jack, two USB jacks, HDD activity LED, a microphone input and a headphone jack. The power and reset buttons are hidden behind the door, just next to the two 3.5" FDD ports.
The blue
plastic is on the fragile side so be careful otherwise you could potentially
mark up the case and that would be a
shame.

Below all of the
ports is a 120mm fan which draws air into the front of the 3D Aurora 570 case through the thin black mesh screen at the very bottom. The fan has its own dust filter to help weed out cat hair and dust bunnies, so you'll want to remove the entire front bezel of the 3D Aurora 570 at least once a year to give that a good cleaning out. The fan runs really quietly too, I should add.
The side
of the Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 in all its glory. The side grill can
be removed and a clear case window installed; Gigabyte include both side panels with the 3D Aurora
570, but this is how
the unit ships. On the underside of this big naturally aluminum case are four which can be rotated outwards to
improve stability. The case stands 52cm tall and is 57cm deep. Note the locks on
both the side panel, and front bezel
door.

The left side panel features a lockable latch mechanism and a ventilation grill. If you're not a fan of the grill, it can be replaced with a transparent plastic window in less than 5 minutes which is also included in the box. To do that, you'll need a screw driver.
The default
hole grid side panel can be replaced with a
clear plastic window (included) if you like that look more. The window
is 29.2 x 31.8 cm in
size.

Below the door handle is the lock and only one key is necessary to lock/unlock both the front door and side panel. Like most cases of this general design, the door unlocks and swings out towards the front until it disengages from the chassis. This makes it really easy to open up the the 3D Aurora 570 and tinker around inside, whilst putting the door off to one side.
