Winstone 2004 runs real applications through a series of scripted activities and
uses the time a PC takes to complete these activities to produce its performance
scores.
Content
Creation Winstone 2004 is a system-level, application-based benchmark that

Performance of the AOpen Mini PC945-VX is quite poor in
the Office Productivity tests, and that is a surprise. The benchmark was rerun
three times with similar results, it's possible that it's the WindowsXP Media
Center Edition that's causing the problems. The other systems were all
benchmarked with WindowsXP SP2 running.

The AOpen
Mini PC MP945-VX is using a dual core mobile processor while the other two
systems are using a Pentium M 740, that's why the processor numbers are so much
higher. Memory bandwidth is slightly higher than with the other systems, not a
surprise, the memory is running faster.
SuperPI
calculates the number PI to 1 Million digits in this raw number crunching
benchmark. The program allows the user to change the number of digits of PI that
can be calculated from 16 thousand to 32 million. Our benchmark is set to 1
Million digits and 19 iterations.

The AOpen Mini PC MP945-VX does very well in Super Pi!
It is able to complete the test 23 seconds faster than the previous Aopen
mini PC system! This is in the same territory as high powered Athlon64
processors.
