Futuremark PCMark05 1.1.0	Source:FutureMark

PCMark05 is a premium tool for measuring both normal home use and simple 3D performance of the latest PC hardware. There are 11 system tests - each one is designed to represent a certain type of PC usage. By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses the components in a similar manner as they are stressed in normal home usage.

PCMark05 results are pretty much the same (sound like a broken record yet?) for all the platforms, which is nice. If you go Athlon64, you'll basically get the same performance no matter if you go economy or high end.

3DMark05 is best suited for the latest generation of DirectX9.0 graphics cards. It is the first benchmark to require a DirectX9.0 compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shaders 2.0 or higher! The GeForce 7800GTX is not powerful enough to separate the nForce 590 SLI from the nForce 570 SLI. Future generations of nVIDIA videocards should be able to take advantage of the extra bandwidth available through LinkBoost.
