There are plenty of memory timing adjustments
to keep tweakers busy for a good weekend or so. If you like to
tweak, get some good high speed low latency memory and let the ECS PN2 SLI2+ fly.
As you can see nVIDIA does things a bit
differently. The actual bus speed is listed instead of the FSB. Anyway, divide the
bus speed by 4 and you get the FSB frequency. Maximum motherboard speed is 625
MHz, this is adjustable in 1 MHz increments. The memory can be adjusted
independently of the FSB up to a maximum of 1400 MHz.
There are plenty of good voltage options with
the ECS PN2 SLI2+ motherboard. Maximum CPU voltage is 1.8V, max memory is 2.5V,
Northbridge voltage goes as high as 1.55V, Southbridge voltage 1.75V and HTT
voltage between NB and SB 1.55V.
Prelude to Benchmarks
The details
of how the ECS PN2 SLI2+ motherboard test system was configured for
benchmarking, including the specific hardware, software drivers, operating
system and benchmark versions are indicated below. In the second column are the
general specs for the reference platforms this nVIDIA nForce 680i SLI based system
is to be compared against. Please take a moment to look over PCSTATS test system
configurations before moving on to the individual benchmark results.
