Overclocking Results: |

Overclocking workstation components is usually not such a
good idea, but if you must then the Asus M2N32 WS Professional looks like it's a
decent alternative. Before the motherboard was overclocked, the processor
multiplier was first set to 6x and the memory to run at DDR2-533 MHz mode.
Starting at 200 MHz, and going up in 5 MHz jumps,
the Asus M2N32 WS Professional actually turned out to be a pretty good overclocker.
There was little that had to be done to the motherboard to get it up to
300 MHz mark.
In the end though, this board topped out at 315 MHz. For this, it was unnecessary
to even adjust any chipset or CPU voltages.
The Asus BIOS:
If you like to tweak, you're going to love
the Asus M2N32 WS Professional motherboard. There are the usual CAS Latency, RAS
to CAS and RAS precharge options along with a ton of advanced memory timing
adjustments.
Motherboard frequency can be adjusted between
200-400 MHz, maximum memory voltage is 2.5V and CPU voltage is 1.4V. There are
additional voltage options, however Asus could do a better job at labelling
each.
Prelude to Benchmarks
The details of how the Asus M2N32 WS Professional
motherboard test system was configured for benchmarking; the specific hardware,
software drivers, operating system and benchmark versions is indicated below. In
the second column are the general specs for the reference platforms this nVidia
nForce 590 SLI based motherboard is to be compared against. Please take a moment
to look over PCSTATS test system configurations before moving on to the
individual benchmark results on the next page.
