Real-time
editing, bump mapping, static lights, network system, integrated physics system,
shaders, shadows, and a dynamic music system are just some of the state
of-the-art features that the CryENGINE offers. The game was set to Ultra quality
and the Ubisoft's Regulator and Training demos were run.

The Asus
EN8800GTS/HTDP/320M performs very well in FarCry with AA and AF turned on. It's
safe to say you're going to be quite pleased with the performance of this
videocard when the eye candy is clicked on. Framerates are still nice and high
even with 4x AA and 8x AF, but past that things get a little dodgy.
Quake 4
is the latest shooter from ID and is based on the Doom 3 engine. Tweaked to for
more eye candy, Quake 4 promises to be tougher on videocards and systems than
its predecessor was. Quake 4 also does not have a 60 fps limiter like Doom 3,
with the Ultra setting, graphic textures can surpass the 500MB mark! Each test
is run three times and with the third run being recorded.
The story
in Quake 4 resembles that of FarCry. The Asus EN8800GTS/HTDP/320M does well in
this benchmark, even with 8xQ AA and 8x AF turned on at 1600x1200
resolution!

FEAR is
Sierra's latest first person shooter which relies heavily on DirectX 9 features.
With its "Soft Shadows" feature enabled, even the fastest videocards run at a
crawl, FEAR is definitely the new benchmark for future FPS games to
follow.

FEAR has
always been the "stressful game title", and even the nVidia G80 has a hard time
here when eye candy is dialed up. Framerates hold steady at about 27FPS with 8xQ
AA and 8x AF... that's a bit too much for the Asus EN8800GTS/HTDP/320M. Just
stick with high resolutions, even without AA the game looks pretty nice.
Sadly,
there are currently no DirectX 10 game titles to test this videocard's
capabilities with in Windows Vista. Judging by the screen shots of DX10 games
that we've seen thus far, it will be well worth the wait. Next up, final words
on the Asus EN8800GTS/HTDP/320M videocard.
