PCMark05 is a premium tool for measuring both normal home use and simple 3D performance of the latest PC hardware. There are 11 system tests - each one is designed to represent a certain type of PC usage. By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses the components in a similar manner as they are stressed in normal home usage.

PCMark05 results for the MSI K9AGM2-FIH motherboard show us that the AMD 690G platform performs close to that of the nVIDIA GeForce 6150 and 7050PV chipsets. With the memory controller integrated into the AMD K8 processor, performance between platforms is always quite similar.

The integrated AMD Radeon Xpress 1250 videocard simply doesn't have enough power to get a good score in 3DMark06 on its own. It's not that bad as far as integrated videocards are concerned, even nVIDIA's new GeForce 7050PV chipset can't break past a lowly score of 300 3DMarks. As you might expect, the performance of the MSI MSI K9AGM2-FIH when a GeForce 8800GTS 320MB videocard is installed is very good. The Asus A8N-VM posts the best results of all the boards here, however.
