SiSoft Sandra results clearly show that the Mushkin
HP3-10666 memory is faster than the DDR3 competition at stock speeds. The stock
bandwidth is also impressive, almost 100MB/s faster in both ALU and FPU
performance. Can you say "benefits of low latency". We can.
WinRAR Internal Benchmark |
Source: RARLabs |
|
This
command generates random data, which contain specially introduced redundancy
increasing load to processor and memory. Then data are passed through RAR
compression and decompression algorithms and output of decompression algorithm
is compared with source data. If any difference found, WinRAR reports "Errors
found - Yes" in the command window. Also WinRAR displays a size of processed
data and compression speed, current and resulting, in kilobytes per second. You
may use the resulting speed value to compare RAR performance in different
conditions.

The 2GB Mushkin HP3-10666 kit again claims top spot in
the WinRAR tests thanks to its ability to run on tight 6-7-6-18 CAS latency
timings. The difference between the fastest and slowest memory is almost
100KB/s, which is nothing to scoff at.
PCMark05 is
a premium tool for measuring both normal home use and simple 3D performance of
the latest PC hardware. There are 11 system tests - each one is designed to
represent a certain type of PC usage. By running these tests, PCMark05 stresses
the components in a similar manner as they are stressed in normal home
usage.

The test results are much closer in PCMark05 between all
DDR3 reference memory. It's difficult to tell the various DDR3 memory apart at
stock speeds. Let's check out what the gaming tests
say.
