if you're new to Overclocking and not sure what to do, check out these two excellent Guides for some pointers:
Overclocking the CPU and Memory
Overclocking the Videocard

PCSTATS has had a lot of luck overclocking Intel P35 Express motherboards. We have high hopes for the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard today. As usual the motherboard will be equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 processor and 2GB of Corsair's DOMINATOR Twin2X2048-8888C4DF memory. Before the overclocking begins though the CPU clock multiplier was first set to 6x and the memory set to run at DDR2-667 MHz mode.

Starting at 333 MHz the FSB was increased in 5 MHz increments. Thee Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 had no problems reaching the 400 MHz mark, though at 430 MHz the motherboard needed a boost in Northbridge voltage to 0.15V above stock.

The Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 handled overclocking well, but showed signs of instability at 465 MHz FSB. The Northbridge voltage was then increased to 0.25V above stock, and the issue gone. In the end, PCSTATS was able to overclock the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard to a maximum speed of 515 MHz. To get there the motherboard chipset voltage had to be raised to 0.375V above stock... which is a little high.

The Gigabyte BIOS:

In the MB Intelligent Tweaker section we find the overclocking and memory timing adjustments. You can change the CPU clock multiplier and adjust the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard frequency from 333-700 MHz, in 1 MHz increments. You'll find a whole host of memory timing options, enough to keep hardcore tweakers busy for weeks I'm sure.

The maximum voltage DDR2 can be bumped to is 1.55V above stock, the Northbridge goes to 0.375V above stock and the CPU voltage to 2.35V. A word of warning, those voltages are high enough to burn out hardware. Use caution if you're going to be overclocking.

Prelude to Benchmarks

The details of how the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard test system was configured for benchmarking, including the specific hardware, software drivers, operating system and benchmark versions are indicated below. In the second column are the general specs for the reference platforms this Intel P35 Express based system is to be compared against. Please take a moment to look over PCSTATS test system configurations before moving on to the individual benchmark results.
