There are no VESA wall mounting points on the rear of the Samsung Syncmaster
971P, so this monitor is most definitely not a wall mounter.
The LCD panel tilts backwards about 45 degrees, down about 10
degrees easily with one hand. The screen will fold backwards 90 degrees (into its pack position), but this requires two hands. The
vertical height of the screen can be changed by about 3" to
accommodate users of different height.
The design of
the base makes it impossible to twist the 971P's screen to the left or
right without picking up the entire unit, or sliding on the surface of the desk. Rubber
grips on the base make this kind of a adjustment a two handed affair.
The base has enough weight to it that when you're
adjusting the height of the screen, the
971P it doesn't lift up or slide all over the place. Software and image quality tests
are up next.
