SiSoft Sandra results are very interesting
and the Asus Maximus Extreme puts in a good show here. Running DDR3, I would
have expected the Maximus Extreme to score higher in bandwidth than the DDR2
motherboards, but perhaps the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 processor cannot push the
memory hard enough.
All motherboards complete the 1 million digit
test in 19 seconds but the 8 million digit test starts to separate the
motherboards. A time of 230 seconds isn't too bad, the Maximus Extreme looses
out a bit because of the higher latency DDR3 memory.
